About the event
A concert reflecting the exciting history of pianists as composers and transcribers. Pianists at the Royal Academy of Music work year-round to create their own, ambitious versions of favourite orchestral works; their professor Mei-Ting Sun introduces some of these brand new transcriptions, from Messiaen and Mahler to Wagner and Scriabin.
Alvina will be performing her transcription of "La fleur que tu m'avais jetée" from Bizet's Carmen.
